Red Wine Audio has moved...
« on: 1 Feb 2006, 03:01 pm »
All,

I am now back online and at my new address  8)
(see: http://www.redwineaudio.com/Ordering_Info.html)

I have received MANY emails and audiocircle PMs.  I am working on plowing through all of them.  Please bare with my slower than usual response time.

Going forward, please email me instead of sending me PMs through audiocircle.  I'll have an easier time responding if all messages are in the same place (my email box: vinnie@redwineaudio.com).

The move was naturally stressful and I need to set up my shop, unpack all those Red Wine Audio boxes, etc.  I should be up and running again by the end of this week.

If it was just a matter of unpacking Red Wine Audio and setting up shop, I'd have it easy!  Unfortunately, I am also unpacking and moving into our new home and my wife (Jen) is keeping me more than busy with hanging up towel rods, mirrors, window treatments, and the "honey dew" list goes on and on.

I have lots of paper work to deal with as well.... ain't moving fun!  :banghead:

The good news is that I have a new, dedicated audio room and a much bigger workspace!  Oh yeah, the new house is beutiful and much nicer than our last one.  Jen and I are very happy!

Thank you all for your patience during this stressful time for me.  I will try to answer all your emails in a timely fashion and will get back to posting on my circle shortly...

If you don't get a timely response, please do not hesitate to email me again (just in case your email gets buried and lost in the pile...hopefully this will be very rare).

Lastly, I am seriously backlogged with new orders.  I'd say my estimated lead time is around 5 weeks at the moment.....

Thanks, guys!

I did a combo office/house move a few years ago, but that was under bachelor status (much easier than last fall's family house only move).  I feel your pain Vinnie, but glad you're enjoying the new places.

Congratulations Vinnie and Jen on completing the recent move.   Hope that both of you will settle and enjoy the new place.

Boy does that bring back memories. Please, make them go away!

About a year and a half ago I closed my retail shop in Glastonbury, took on a distributor-load of inventory and moved my it and my household into then-fiance Jo-Ann's house in Brooklyn (Yes, Brooklyn, CT. the Quiet Corner.) It was just a WEE bit tight.

Anyway, I've got a Sonic T amp, a Toshiba 3980, a 4th gen iPod Photo and am thinking quite seriously about an SB3. Eenie meenie miney mo . . . . which should I send off to Vinnie first? Hmmmm . . . .

With a 5 week lead time, do you want to stack waiting pieces in your new house, or should people send a deposit and hang onto the item in question until you're ready or nearly ready for it? I can imagine the log jam. Phew!

All,

Thanks for understanding and best wishes.  I'm almost finished setting up the shop.  8)

Hey DRCope,

Welcome to audiocircle!

I don't mind a stack of work waiting, but if what you are sending is normally used every day, I'd say it is best to wait until some of the dust settles...if it ever settles

So where in CT are you from?  How close to Meriden?  So far I love it here...hasn't snowed once since I moved!  :P
