I will add that this movie represents the ever expanding R rating.

Was planning on seeing it sometime this weekend.

Heard it was brutal...

Haven't seen this many boobs in a while....and I beleive I spotted some wildlife for a good 5 seconds or so....mainly beaver
I would say its fairly graphic violence... but the movie has more story than I thought it would and even a bit of a twist.

Not sure what I would rate it (maybe 3.75 out of 5)....but to others who are offended by too much sex and graphic violence....skip this one.
I like an occasional family movie like Narnia and Dreamer.....but also don't mind the other end of the spectrum.

Part of a review I found.... :o
    Quote
Eli Roth won't just show you a close-up of a chain saw severing the fingers of a hapless backpacker who's been chained to a chair and tortured. He'll also show you the bloody stumps falling onto the dark stone floor, as well as the partial paw that remains.
Such is the relentlessly graphic nature of "Hostel," which surely must have been intended as a homophone for "hostile," and is not for the faint of heart. (Reportedly not one but two ambulances were called to care for audience members who fell ill while watching the horror movie during last year's Toronto Film Festival. Coincidence? Perhaps not.)

I am still willing to bet I will have ideas on how to make the movie better and more disturbing.... Why do I think like that? I get queezy some times watching some stuff but my little head has these ideas to bring it past the edge of reason.

People are claiming this film plays with audience/character identification, but I haven't heard anything yet that makes me think it's anything other than simple exploitation. Probably won't see it.

"Salo", on the other hand, is about many things besides just torture.

Sounds like an interesting movie, but i don't think i can watch it.  Cmon, i got my shit all disturbed when I watched the "tongue papercutting" scene from Jackass.

Looks a bit extreme for me, although the boobs sound good!   Strange I could be oblivious to the existence of the #1 film. :?   I've been working a lot, but I normally at least see a trailer online.
