Are upgrades possible for 4B NRB and 7B NRB

Is it possible to upgrade a 4B NRB or 7B NRB to an ST or SST? If so how do I arrange the upgrade? Also I believe the 7B NRB's have been upgraded to an ST already is there a way to confirm this?

Hi Dan,

No I am sorry we can not upgrade the NRB or the ST Series amplifiers to the SST versions.

The SST Versions use a completely different output section and power supply so the costs would not be cost effective.

Thanks for the information. I am planning to purchase another pair of 7B's for my home theater.

Is the sound difference between the NRB, ST and SST different enough that I would notice it in a matched 5.1 system (i.e. 4 identical speakers plus a center)?

I would like to get the new SST's but am not sure how they would match the sound of the 7B ST's I currrently have.

Hi Dan,

The SST is much different than the ST or the NRB so I would put any new SST amp on the front left and right.
