SB3 on squeezenetwork - digital volume can't be disabled?

SB3 on squeezenetwork - digital volume can't be disabled?

I don't think you can disable the digital volume control when hooked up to the Squeezenetwork for internet radio on the SB3.
Can anyone confirm this?

The alternative is to put the digital volume to wide open (full volume) so it's not in use?
