Ok now I see them  :D . Mine looked just like that until I changed the socks to black. You should hear those speakers with the old caps replaced with Solen,Mundorfs,Sonicaps or Northcreeks . Including replacing the sand cast resistors with Mills resistors. The sound difference will be like looking through a dirty window and then having someone to clean it.

Just replacing the resistors and bypassing the fuse is a worth while improvement and not expensive. I never had any problems burning any thing up and the speakers sounded much better with those fuses out of the signal path.

Yes, I've heard that these type of easy tweaks can make a big difference. If I'm allowed to keep them, I will definitely go this route.
Thanks for the tips.

I 've no idea why the pics don't show in the first place but, if you right click the xes, select properties, copy the url into the address bar and go the picture appears. Click back and the picture is now in the thread (and stays there...)

One of Bill Gates's practical jokes!

I wish we could get this kind of stuff over here.

That did the trick.  Wow, those look great in there!  Alsmost as if there were designed for the room. I am glad they found such a good home.
