All our Ref series amps use the same 8" x 3" circuit board so even though model 8/8b have been discontinued, the amps will continue to be supported, including future upgrade.
Having 8.5 and 9 sharing identical chassis and everything else except the power supply allow us to streamline our production.
Ref 8.5 uses the same 100W SMPS as Ref 8/8b so any future SMPS upgrade can be applied to Ref 8/8b too.
