Anyone ever hear of this player. It sounds pretty interesting. I've had some problems with the seller Neodigits.com before and probably wouldn't buy from them again but this DVD player intrigues me. If it works properly, it can function much as a HTPC without all the hassle. At least for video playback.

Weird choice to only include DVI and component for such a grandious postioning statement.  They achieve HDMI compatibiity and RGBHV through cabling or a converter, although the audio benefits of HDMI are not here.  And a DVI-I to RGBHV converter is a risky strategy, being that these are teetering on extinction due to the copy-protection police.  I know, I have mine (converter) and am not selling it, even though I don't need it today anymore (sold my Oppo which was its source originally).  This thing looks a little like a rebranded Bravo, except that it will do some ruidimentary upscaling in component.  Don't know the Helios brand at all, though.

I would expect an HD-ready DVD player to include native HDMI 1.x support, 5.1 audio (or 7.1 possibly, I mean, HD ready, right?) analog outputs with at least DVD-A support, if not SACD.   You can basically get all that this machine is touting (scaling to 720p, 1080i) for $199 if you buy an Oppo, and get DVD-Audio thrown in for free.  No component upscaling, but who cares.  Then get a cheaper Momitsu for $179.   Anyway, my $.02
