A simple thing you might try is tightening the bolts that hold the driver frame to the front baffle of the speaker.  These do come loose over time and can result in a rattling sound.

Which pre-amp and amp or integrated amp do you think they would be best matched to Totem Forrest?
thanks.

nt stands for "no text"

I only wrote on the subject header, so there was no text to read in the "message body"

Any way below is a quote from a review in Stereophile, they mention that the woofer drivers are from "Acoustic Technology International (ATI) 6.5" midrange/bass driver".

http://stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/378/

If they use the drivers from Hi Vi then they must have changed??

The Forest
The Forest is a two-way, floorstanding tower loudspeaker with two drive-units—a 1" SEAS aluminum-dome tweeter and, below that, an Acoustic Technology International (ATI) 6.5" midrange/bass driver—mounted in a narrow, 3'-tall cabinet less than a foot wide and a foot deep. Such a narrow profile helps optimize diffraction effects, and allows the drivers to more closely approximate a point source than might occur with a wide-baffle design. Bruzzese claims that small, rigid enclosures are less apt to store energy and radiate it later, leading to interference and blurring. On the other hand, small minimonitor enclosures lack the capacity for playing very deep bass, and can be limited in dynamic headroom.

ATI is the same company as HiVi, Inc.  It's also known as Dulcet in China, and they also acquired the Swans name in the USA.  The parent company that does all the R&D is Chinese.

Mike, sorry i didn't know that nt stands for no text...:)

Anyway, i realize that small woofer can plays at very low frequency. The problem is that at the same tune and at the same level, one of my Totem Forrest has buzzing or ringing sound while the other one is ok. i can even hear very clear buzzing sound coming from the one i think it has the problem.  I have brought speaker to the dealer. They will test it and they said that it may be driver or crossover, but likely a driver itself.

Good thing is the repair is covered under the warranty. Totem service is excellent.
