I just watched the Concert for George (Harrison) dvd again the other night.  Man, what a good concert that is!  Everyone sounds like they are hitting on all cylinders.  Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Jeff Lynne, Billy Preston, and tons of other talented musicians.

At one point when Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers do "Handle with Care" they look at each other as if they know they nailed it.  They did.

The version of Something is outstanding.  It starts out with a choked up McCartney playing a solo ukelele and builds to a power-house duet between McCartney and Clapton.  That one still gives me chills when I hear it.

The guy playing lead slide guitar (not sure of his name) is very impressive too.

If you're not a George Harrison fan you might be after you see this.

It's very well recorded (visually and audio) with DD and DTS soundtracks.
Highly Recommended if you're into concert dvd's.

What format did you listen in? PCM (stereo), DTS, DD?

It's truly a great concert.   I loved it on PBS.  Thanks for reminding me it's available on DVD.   :D

I listened to it in the DTS 5.1 format.  It's very open sounded - that's needed since there are so many musicians playing and so much going on.  The Dolby Digital 5.1 seemed very comparable to me.
