Try some really great music.
Shostakovich, Symphony No. 4, Mariss Jansons and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra on EMI. This is the work that almost got Shostakovich sent to the Gulag. Mothballed for 25 years, it's beginning to be accepted as his greatest symphony and that's saying a lot. This is a superb performance and just may well be the best orchestral CD I've heard in the last ten years.
