when in doubt, don't deal with the person. btw, the poor grammar and the language used to try and get the item shipped quickly is similar to every scam-mail I've seen.

Sounds like a scam. I'd be worried about him handling shipping too. Like Maxwalrath said above, when in doubt don't do business with that person.

dont even bother with fuckers like that, bidpay and western union are sure signs of scams.  Shitty grammar coupled with names like "john smith" and other generic white american names are scams.  Been there done that, they can all go fuck themselves.

I love canuckaudiomart, but man, all those fuckers need to die, if i see a fucker using a public terminal, i'm going to collapse his fucking shoulders.  pieces of shits.

Regards,

Carson (Angry audiophile)

I encountered the same scam too. After I said I only ship out my used ATC speakers when I see the money cleared and IN my account, I never hear from the piece of shit again. Some scammers will try to fake a wire transfer record and then want to pick up the goods immediately.

It's important to remember that their forged bank checks are of such high quality that they don't come back as bad for about 30 days... well after they initally cleared and you've sent off the merchandise!!!  I realize you're talking wired money, but...

Also try to remember that plenty of children/families read these threads as well :D

I agree, bad grammar and references to western union and such should send up red flags.  Also notice how he keeps referring to your gear as "the item"?  Sounds like this is a form letter that he's sending to everyone fishing for a response.

He did say can send money-order for the purchase, can't we verify if it's fake before sending out the good ? like take it to the bank and deposit ?
