What can I say. One of the finest monitors out there. All the glowing reviews are correct.

Amazingly relaxed, but still very detailed. Very natural sounding. Stings sound real (when they are and not synth and you can tell the difference)

Electostatic fast....because of the sealed design?

The bass guitar is clearly seperated from the kick drum.

I had an amp flake out and distort leading to a popped tweeter. (stop laughing Marbles.....not because of my heavy hand on the throttle) I was going to replace myself, but decided to send to the factory and get the mod to bring them up to the latest version, the MM.  They will rebuild the tweeter for less than PartsExpress's replacement cost.

Bobby, the designer says if I like these I'd 'better have some TP ready' when I hear the upgrade version. Can't imagine.

I don't know how he does it. No fancy ribbons, sloped baffles or any trendy stuff. But man do they make some serious music.

I know opinions are like....well....you know. But if you're in the market for speakers try Merlin. Truly world class.

Yes, they seem somewhat expensive, but used, they are a stone cold bargain.

I think the only thing they can't do is play at bone crushing volumes. But I knew that going in.

Claud here on the board has a pair, and i mostly agree.  Think you'll find the tweeter mod a little hot at first, but it settles down.  He drives with a Cary V12 ... very sweet.  And plenty loud in his smallish room.  Bobby's speakers always sound good at the shows ... very forgiving of suboptimal rooms.  You just sit there and enjoy the music, ya know?

In my smallish 11x 13 room, the TSM-MMs are as good as it gets. The "MM" mod also gives more bass response. I bought my TSM-Ms used including Osiris stands. The $500 "magic or MM mod" was done in March. You will need the TP. Even out of the box, they are noticably improved. If yours sound a bit bright, you may have a problem upstream. Mine have sounded bright on two occassions, before and after the MM mod. Both times it was a power tube in the V12R beginning to go bad. You really listen to your system with these speakers.
