I recently asked editor of Enjoythemusic.com, who granted the Decade Award to the Hyperion 938s, what amplification he had success with. Here's his response:

). As for amplification, i find my 8-watt 300B amplifiers to be JUST good at listening levels and yield GREAT sound but seem to run out of steam. i use the Almarro A318A (4 ohm tap) and that is quite good. JUST received the Hyperion amplifier monoblocks and will soon give those a go
