I'm working on a digital filter for my cdp and was wondering what affect running it at a lower voltage my have. Sonically, it's great, but I am concerned that I may damage motors, servos, etc. If the transport/ dac system runs off a regulated power supply then I won't worry too much. With the filter in place the cdp pulls .17 amps and 106v. Without it's 118v and .19 amps. So, without it's using about 22.5 watts and with about 18. Any thoughts on this? With the filter in place, a more than subtle improvement in vocals and upper bass punch is evident, so I'd really like to use it, but not at the expense of damaging my cdp.
