RMAF 2005 Feedback and Buzz!!!

We had an excellent time at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest this year.  Thanks to Penaudio, Channel Islands Audio, World Power, Jorma Designs and Stillpoints for gear and support.

We had good attendance and received very good feedback from those present.  I felt that we had great sound and the Lovely Clarisse was the perfect hostess for us on Saturday and Sunday morning, brightening everyone's day with her smile.

Following are links to feedback that have been posted since our return.

Comments from SP Technologies President: http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/viewtopic.php?%20p=195629#195629&sid=a4510ae5b7aedc666dab450a14007721

Press comments from 6 Moons: http://www.6moons.com/industryfeatures/rmaf05paul/rmaf05.html

Comments from 'Lonewolf': The Modwright room sounded very good as well. Attention to detail...Modwright player and preamp, Channel Islands amps, and PENAUDIO speakers (such a little thin speaker...but big , clear, detailed sound... http://www.penaudio.fi/ ).

Comments from 'Darth Vader': Out of all the "Class D" amps that I heard, the CIA D-200 was the hands down winner in my opinion. The highs were smooth and detailed, mids were smooth and deep articulate bass. I could very easily live with these amps and I'm a tube lover. The CIA/Modwright/Penaudio room was one of the best rooms in my opinion. Dusty and Dan are true gentlemen.

I will post links to more feedback and reviews come in.

Thanks,

Dan W.

Thank you Dan for posting my comments. Indeed... you had a fine sounding room at the show. I do know how good your equipement is, but what surprised me was the sound of the Channel Islands amps. I guess I've "overlooked" them in the past, but they sounded very good. Might be worth taking a second look. Happy listening !!!

D-200 Amps

Agreed, Dustys amps are truly exceptional.  I was not a fan of early Digital or Class D amps.  I'm still not a fan of Tripath designs, etc.  Dusty has truly achieved something special with his D-200's however and I believe that for their performance AND price....for that matter, they are phenomenal regardless of price.  I am quite certain that Dusty's Class D amps are at the top of the heap!

I was very pleased to be able to show with Channel Islands and Penaudio, as well as Jorma Designs and World Power.  A good sounding room is only as good as its weakest link, and I don't feel that ANY of the links in our chain were weak.  I was very pleased with excellent synergy.

Thank you again for your feedback!

Dan
