PCBs for Exodus Crossovers

We have a host of new PCBs for the Exodus Speaker kits.   These greatly simplify crossover construction and they eliminate assembly errors that even the most experienced builder can make.

All PCBs have slip-on connectors & holes for wire connections.   Crossovers are designed for bi & tri-amping in some instances.   This allows users to experiment with multiple ways of amplifying the speakers.

The PCBs are going to be an option with most kits.   We will also offer crossovers completely assembled for a modest up tick in price.

Keep your eyes on our site.... more developments to come including some exciting new subwoofer options.

Kevin:  Those look very good and are probably well worth the extra money.

I have to say, however, that I think the most exciting part of your post was the hint/tip/whatever regarding the new subwoofers.  :-)

Kevin... these look fantastic. Just out of curiosity... what happened to the bottom left corner of the mid XO? Did you change a specification after the board was built? Or, was the circle drawn in smaller so the Exodus name would fit? I kind of gather it was the latter. Anyways, they look very professional.

Just a mistake.   That spot for the inductor should have been larger.   I'm happy it was the only one as it doesn't effect anything other than the appearance and we can fix it on the next PCB order.

In the grand scheme of things, a subtle visual cue that isn't visble on a finished speaker is pretty minor. If that's the only flaw that comes out, you've done one hell of a job with these.

Thanks.... Wiggins did the PCB layout so he gets the credit.   It's mainly a issue with the silkscreen as the inductor fits right in there.   I've yet to design a PCB where I am completely happy with the first revision.   It's just part of designing something that you are always tweaking and trying to improve this feature or that.    I'm very happy with how they have turned out.

I changed my mind. I would buy the PCB boards for my next project.

In fact, it might be tempting for my current LCRs just to clean up the crossovers and ensure I have good connections.

Very nice.
