James Bongiorno (of Ampzilla fame) started life as a pianist and accordeon player in Vic Damone's band back in the early 60's.  I've heard some test pressings of records he made back then, both solo and backing several singers, and the man was a phenom with a style quite his own.

James has now cut a CD (engineered by John Novello) of jazz and pop standards that is:
1. Highly enjoyable and
2. state of the art for piano reproduction.

If you'd like a copy, I have a bunch at $10ea including shipping.

Do you still have my CC info on file?

To order send check, MO or CC info to:
The Bonge
VMPS Audio
3429 Morningside Dr
El Sobrante CA 94803

This will prevent me spending a lot of time taking phone orders.  Emails are OK too, but split the CC info between two emails to prevent hacking your account info.

Can someone post excerpts somewhere? .mp3'd is fine - I'm willing to take Brian's word that the CDs are well recorded, I just like having some idea what style of music is involved before I buy.

Last I checked, posting short excerpts for review purposes did not violate any copyright laws, so this shouldn't be a problem. :-)

OK, since I was too slow in typing, there's a bonus direct link for download
http://audio.cdbaby.com/j/jbongiorno-01.mp3

You need to change numbers from 01 to 14 for other tracks. I converted those into .wav for hearing them on CD player. As for me, teasers worked, I want original disc...
