JVC RX-F10 HELP: scart to component?
« on: 7 Jul 2005, 12:26 pm »
I have just bought a RX-F10 and read in the documentation that the F10 cannot 'downsample' component input to scart output. Fair enough. I was wondering if the other way around would work. I want to output everything to my beamer, which preferable has to be connected by component. However, my inputs (satellite receiver, xbox) are connected with scart. Is it possible to have scart input and component output with the F10?

If no, what would be the best solution -- hooking up the beamer through scart? But that would mean I would have to get a scart splitter, as I want to watch the output on my tv as well as my beamer...

Hi, and welcome to AC.

You don't indicate where you are based, but with the earlier version JVC ES1sl it seems had Scart inputs for Europe (perhaps other places), but not here in the US.  In fact, I'm not even sure Scart inputs are used on anything here in US.

Most, but no means all the F10 users, seem to be in the US.  So, I'm not sure if most of us can answer this to help you out.

I hope I'm wrong on a couple of those assumptions and there is a helpful sole that can be of service to you.
