Greetings, all.  This is my first post on this forum.  I've been reading some of the threads on and off for a couple of years now, but never joined until today.  Usually, I spend my time over in the other A/V forums and someone suggested that I post in this area (NT Audio Jam) re: a get together that we are having on May 21st in the DFW area.  All are welcome to join.  Please PM me with your email if you are interested, so that I can put you on the list, as well as send you updates leading up to the event.

You can find more information on the AV123 site here:

http://forum.av123.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8058

I've updated the GTG info in the first post, in order to save everyone the time of having to read thru the entire thread.

I do hope that you can join us.  It should be a blast!

Thanks for the post and invite, PhenomeNhan, and welcome to AC!

It sounds like the GTG is turning into quite the crowded event!  I'll read the AV forum thread in more detail sometime after work, but a quick scan appears to indicate that the event hits two houses on Saturday and one on Sunday.  I didn't see exact locations or times, however... can you fill us in?  (I'm not looking to post full addresses on a public forum, just the specific city.  Frisco?)

In the interim, I guess I should do some reading on AV123 products...  Thanks again for including the AC crowd!

Thanks for the welcome, brj.  It's great to be here.

The locations on Saturday will be in Flowermound (10 AMish - 2:00) and Carrollton (2:30-5:00ish).  The Sunday session will be in Highland Park (11 AM - 2:30 PM).

We're having a fun time trying to hash out the demo material/agenda for the Flowermound location right now.  The owner has tons of equipment in several rooms :)

Hope you can join us.

Hi PhenomeNhan.

I was hoping to attend this weekend, but other things interfered.... any comments on how everything went?

Thanks!

Hi, brj.  Sorry you couldn't make it.  It was a blast for all involved.

I'm totally exhausted from the weekend activities.  Rather than double posting (no energy left right now), the link above should contain the weekend activities (last few pages) discussions and plenty of pictures :)

Also check these threads out on the premier of the Emotiva Ultra Lites and demo of SOCS (speaker-only correction system):

I hosted the first session of the GTG with Onix Ref 1's, Onix SP3 tube amp, and PT gear with SOCS.   SOCS was a big hit.

Upstairs was my Emotiva pre/pro and MC amp with Ref 2/100/1 ht setup.

The fellowship was fun and having MLS address the crowd was a bonus.

The second stop was an awesome RS1000-based HT with 9 speakers and monster SVS PB4 sub.

I may have a smaller group over in June to hear SOCS one more time, R-DES and tweak the REF HT.  If interested let me know.

I'd be interested, depending on what weekend you have in mind.  I have a friend visiting from out of town this weekend, but my remaining two weekends in June are still flexible at this point.

Thanks for the offer!  Hopefully others will follow up as well!
