Hello all!

I just purchased a Clarinet Half Kit and can't wait to get started! I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of a good DIY Speaker kit company out there?

There are some good ones right here on AudioCircle like GR Research, Selah Audio, Ellis and DIY Cable.

Hi,

You could try Zalytron as well.  I have just purchased the phenomenal 2 speaker kit from them.  I can't tell you how it sounds at this stage though.

I have built a number of kits from DIY Cable, and would recommend their WR125 driver as a great place to get started with the single driver experience.

Actually, I believe the FR125 is coming out very soon, and that one should be a true high frequency driver, totally avoiding the tweeter need, for many.

Good luck with the hunt,

Of course, I neglected to mention the mother of all DIY speaker sites: http://www.madisound.com  They sell components and kits, and have a forum with lots of active discussion.

You should look at the Decware website--both at their offerings and the speaker builder forums.  I built the HDT's for less than $400 raw cost, and they are fantastic 96db/w/m speakers after break-in.

I just found what looks like a great speaker project. The speakers are from www.selahaudio.com

They are the Carnelian. Has anyone built these or know anything about them?

Thanks!

I think you should ask in the Selah Circle.
