I have never been hiking next to a pristine mountain stream and came across a piping hot pepperoni pizza growing next to the path.  Yes, they are man-made...but quite tasty!  As are cheese puffs!

For those poor individuals who have never sampled the delight of hedgehog flavor chips and wonder what they taste like; they have a mild bacon flavor which I suppose is why they are called hedgeHOGS. Travelling people ( gypsies and such like) use to roll hedgehogs in mud and then bake them in a fire. Once cooked, the mud would be broken off and the spines would come away with the mud leaving the flesh below ready to eat.

I can just imagine the scene in the marketing department after hearing this story:

Finally, a chance to woo the elusive "gypsy demographic": tempt them with hedgehog but without the muss-n-fuss of mud-encased baking.  If the world is ready for deep-fried turkey, or for cheeseburger pizza, then the time for hedgehog flavoured chips has certainly arrived.
