Epic Song of the Day
I'm not sure how to describe an Epic song. For me it's a song that is beautiful and has a grand sound to it.

I'll start 'er off with two recommendations

The first is Cold Water music. I was sleeping in bed listening to I think it was Galaxy Radio on cable. This song came on, woke me up because it was beautiful.

O Fortuna (epic version)
Took me some effort to track down the name of this song. I heard it in the movie Glory, but IIRC the song is not in the movie but the Trailer. Again if my memory is correct, it was written by a school teacher back in the '30s, even Hitler liked this song.

It's always interesting how one person's treasure is another person's trash.
No doubt if I put my "epic" list, it would get a similar evaluation.   Music is so very personal.

Totally agree.

We have a Music Circle and nobody is posting. I am posting suggestions for others so that they may find something they like as well and expand their music taste. Myself I'm looking to expand as I am getting tired of listening to my Playlists. But I'm selective and picky as well when it comes to finding new music.

I have maybe 40 more suggestions and then I will be out of ideas. If somebody else wants to post, go ahead or start another thread.

Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone
IMO this is the only version that is not butchered and I've listened to lots. The singer is properly mic'ed for stereo in this version. Which is why I don't usually like other orchestra versions.
