I'm here to ask for help as I increase the complexity of my audio equipment builds.
So far I have put together a Pi4 with my NAS (with Moode), and using an IanCanada TransportPi I'm streaming Flac files via ethernet into an FX-Audio DA06 DAC, then through an SMPro M-Patch V2 as a volume control into a DIY built Power Amplifier.
The power amp is dual mono, basically two smps powering separate TPA3255 amplifier boards.
I am trying to keep the system relatively simple, and keeping everything as modular as possible, for ease of upgrade and replacement as my knowledge and build skills improve.
I am also trying to keep as clean a signal as possible maintaining R/L separation, the DA06 has separate DAC chips with balanced outputs.
I am now looking to construct a simpler but higher quality passive preamp, with balanced XLR input and output, using an EIZZ 10k potentiometer bought a little while ago.
I'm no electronics expert and to be honest spend many hours studying pictures of other people's builds trying to work out how and what they are doing!!
