Hi,
I’ve been an electronics hobbyist for many years. One area that I would like to learn more about is audio circuits and speaker building. I recently ordered the X-LS Encore flat pack from Peter, and I am looking forward to ordering the kit from Danny. Lately I’ve been watching lots of videos and reading from various browser searches. I’m looking forward to learning by interacting on this forum.
Kind regards,
Jim Townley

Welcome here!
I built a pair of X-LS Encore about 9 months ago. They are my main speakers now. Love them. I added an open baffle sub (Double Trouble). Great fit. Have fun with your build.

Welcome Jim. Judging by your name, I'm guessing you're from Minnesota. If you're interested in hearing some GR speakers (Encores and NX-Studios), let me know - I'm in the metro.

Thank you for the kind welcomes. The cabinets for my Encores are ready for the carbon fiber vinyl wrap and I have the crossovers wired. Can’t wait to hear the results.

I’ve learned many things in researching this project that I wish I had known years ago as I look back at the projects I’ve worked on. My interest in electronics have taken me into several directions and now I am glad to learn about audio. The best part about the electronics hobby is when things get stagnant, there seems to be an infinite amount of new areas that are amazing and fun.

For my Minnesota neighbors in this group, I live a few hours north in Chisholm. Thank you again for the kind words.
Regards,
Jim
