Hi All,
New to AVA, placed my first order today and wanted to say Hey.
I've been checking in here on Audio Circle from time to time over the years and have found it helpful in researching gear. I figured it's high time I made my obligatory first introductory post.
I ordered a pair of DVA-M225 Monoblock Amps and the R2X converter box after reading a bit about them here. Went to the AVA website and there was a pair of demos at a discount. When I saw them I couldn't refuse. Grateful to everyone who has shared their experience here on Audio Circle!
Just a few days ago I purchased a Denafrips Iris DDC on US Audio Mart from James (I just noticed him here on Audio Circle - alexandria2863). When I clicked on the DDC link James' AVA Fet Valve CFR Preamplifier up for sale also caught my eye.
I was first introduced to AVA gear by a gentleman on Ascend Acoustics forum (Mag_Neato on that forum). Hope I'm not dropping too many names here

Mag_Neato has had nothing but great things to say about the Audio by Van Alstine DVA-M225 Monoblock Amps.
Now that the Amps are on the way I'm thinking I will pick up the Fet Valve CFR preamp in a month or so when I'm flush with cash again. In the meantime I'll temporarily use the preamp-outs from my Musical Fidelity M6si or Yamaha RX A-3080 I guess. I think that'll work.
Currently running a pair of Ascend Acoustics Sierra LX's. They are powered with the Musical Fidelity M6si, fed by a Denafrips Pontus 15th with the (new to me) Denafrips Iris DDC all plugged into a M4 mac Mini. Streaming from my music library of ripped CD's and Apple music purchases over the years. I've only had the Ascend LX pair for a few months though and they amaze me every day. Looking forward to hearing those though the AVA monoblocks!
I've fairly recently transitioned from a HT setup to strictly 2 channel listening facilitated by those LX's. Moving on from Yamaha RX-3080 and a Rythmik F-12 SE Subwoofer and Sierra 2 EXv2, with Sierra Luna V2 surround speakers.
Pretty excited about upping the ante on 2 channel listening with AVA gear!
Cheers, Bruce
