It looks like all is figured out here. The No Rez is not really needed on the braces, but it also didn't hurt.

Thanks Danny,  No difference in your assessment regarding volume change with ported vs. non ported cabinets?

It will not change the internal volume.

Been a bit busy and now getting to post the end result.

I'm very pleased with the changes after replacing the damping inside of these four cabinets.  With the main monitors, I noticed the positive change immediately.  Everything was more defined with much more natural top to bottom frequency.  The bass in particular was noticeably tighter.  Imaging was improved.  I think most of this is related to how quieter they seem, increasing dynamic range, etc.  The only system change I made after the monitor change was lessening of the toe-in.  That used to produce a thinness or perceived gap in the imaging/stage.  That no longer happens and it just makes the overall sound larger.

The powered woofer cabinet change took longer to appreciate.  At first, they sounded a bit "stuffy."  It took reworking crossover point and levels before they settled in and felt integrated with the monitors.  Now they really contribute to that "large" sound.  Bass is substantial without dominating.

Needless to say, I would highly recommend the modification to others.  Thanks again, Danny, for your hand holding while I worked this through.

Next project is high pass filters.  I already have Sonicaps on the way and will make two stereo HPFs.  One at 43hz between the subs and powered woofers and once at 75hz between the woofers and the monitors.  I'll post on that separately later.
