Aldious- Japanese Girl Metal Band

Aldious Band from Japan IMO is the best rock band that I have heard. They play IMO so proficient at their instruments, Aruto the drummer is the best drummer I have heard, in her time with the band, and why they are so good. Their singer Rino has such a pleasant voice and it no longer matters to me that I don't know the meaning of the lyrics, but I know most likely sexual context, which I know the song Dominator is about.
Their music is in regular play since discovering this band. I of course was ready for new material to listen too since I was tired of listening to my old favorites and Streaming is now available to me.

Band-Maid is a close second as these ladies know how to rock. But fewer songs appeal to me as I find the singing with too much lyrics annoying. The bassist Miso is so cool and plays the bass guitar like nobody else. Kanami Tono on guitar is amazing. :inlove:

I totally understand that, and I know no two people share the same taste in music. Those who like the same bands, most likely for different reasons.
I'm a seasoned Hard Rocker from the early '70s. My Avatar is Best of Deep Purple, when the journey began.
What Aldious does and they do it well, is their use of guitar rock technic, riffs, etc.. My only complaint would be my preference for long play songs versus short songs under 5 minutes. :smoke:

I won't lie to you, I will not be adding that song to a Playlist. I put that band in the category of Dream Theatre who use a song structure style that I struggle to understand and groove with. And I'm not keen on Cookie Monster vocals, but I'm sure there are Headbangers who like it and understand the song structure.

Political Punk, first I've heard of it, I would not pay money to see them. If they happened to be in a bar I would stay for a beer.

Rock Goddess a bar band certainly not in the same league as Japanese Girl Metal.

This is why I don't call myself a Music Lover. Because there is music that doesn't make the cut for a discriminating audiophile.

Lambrini Girls “Who let the Dogs Out” was voted album of the year.
Number one on the UK Rock/Metal chart. Number 2 in the Independent albums chart. Number 16 in the overall UK charts. The promotion for the album was purely the official videos “Cuntology 101” and “No Homo”. Stellar work indeed.
The songs cover a multitude of subjects. They give money to Rape Crisis, Refuge and Safeline charities. Strongly support Mental Health organisations, and are the 2024/2025 main musical voice of trans-rights and oppression-awareness in the world. The World!
Iggy Pop recorded “Personal Jesus” with them and Trevor Horn. Put that in your CV.
You won’t be seeing them in a bar anytime soon.

Rock Goddess supported Iron Maiden in Europe, and headlined the London Marquee often - where I was a regular VIP, usually with Cozy Powell. Slightly under par players, but all the signed male NWOBHM bands were exactly that at that time. They recorded well though. The first real female British Metal band. I knew them quite well. Not really my thing either though, since I was severely into Hendrix, Zappa, The Tubes, Pat Travers, Todd Rundgren, and Frank Marino at the time. But they took some real stick and kept going - for purely the music’s sake. Admirable.

Neither of those two bands could be considered to be vacantly “Performative”, but are performers in their own right.  Scratch the surface, and the energy just increases. Women with some real guts.
I’ll play anything on my amazing system, including the most godawful Hendrix bootlegs.  But I do draw the line at highly-destructive sub-octave bass rave-type kiddie-music.
Playing Punk on your gear? It’s not as if snot and phlegm is going to start oozing out of your ‘highly-discriminating’ tweeters is it?

Todd Rundgren, I have a concert dvd, though I listened to the whole thing, I couldn't wait for it to end.

I have a whole slew of Russian downloads. Stuff I haven't even listened to yet. I'll give a song a listen once on the Big Rig, if the song is not worthy it doesn't get played again on the Big Rig. Punk, Rap and Popular Pop since 2005 are definitely not worthy. I confess though to giving a few spins to Taylor Swifts- Shake it Off, checking out her mini-skirt. :smoke:
