 Hi folks, I'm giving serious thought to getting the two mentioned products in the title and would like the impressions of people who have them on whether they're a good match. I'd be interested in how quite they are and whether they run hot or cool relatively. Personally, I prefer cool, but I ask because I think they both run in class A for a bit as noted on the website. This will likely be my last preamp, power amp so I'd like to be sure it will last as long as possible. Also, does anyone have pictures of the internals with the cover off, because for whatever reason I like to see how the insides look as I was able to with my SET 120 control amp which I still like, but which is a bit under powered for the speakers I have, and also because I like the idea of having more than enough power. Thanks for any info you may provide.

Hi, this gear runs cool.  That pre and amp are a good match.  I reviewed the DVA SET series amps for Frank.  I have also heard the Vision at Franks.  I can't remember if I took the Vision home or not.  I did review the vision phono preamp which is also very good.

Thank you, are the power cords the standard three prong computer type that plug into a standard 15 amp wall outlet?

The amp description states “The DVA SET 500 includes…a standard IEC power socket”. Current standard cord you’ll find on pretty much any other gear that does have a captive power cord.
