My attempt at building the gr-research crossover upgrade for the Magnepan LRS plus speakers.

Improved version below replacing the aircore inductors with copper foil inductors. As you can plainly see in the photos I didn't do these but a friend I paid a $100 labor to do.

Nice tidy work.
Do you see a big difference between the two versions? Sound stage, precision, fast?

You still have quite a bit holding these back.

First of all, our resistors that we send out with the kit will sound better then the Path resistors. The Path resistors have steel endcaps as well (not good).

Secondly, using tube connectors will make quite a bit of difference, and easily more difference than going to the foil inductors.
