For sale is my REL R528SE in gloss white. The color makes it extremely room and spouse friendly. In my experience with REL subs the difference between the R528SE and the S/812 (both have 12” drivers) is not significant - to me it’s less than the difference between the S/812 and the Carbon Special, which is what I’ve moved to. I never felt the need or desire to buy a S/812 even after trying one.
The ‘Special Edition’ designator for this sub is well deserved. If I didn’t get a bit of a deal on the Carbon I’d happily still be using this one. If I could fit this in my listening room along with the Carbon I’d keep it and use two subs, but space will not permit. Condition conservatively is good to very good. There are small scuffs and gloss nicks at the upper and lower rear corners of the right side. The sub is otherwise in excellent physical condition and perfect operating condition. It was integrated with my floor standers using REW and never over driven or bottomed out. The grille is also in excellent condition. Comes with a copy of the manual and the original REL high level cable. Being glossy white, the pictures tend to show the color cast of the lighting where the pictures were taken. Rest assured the finish is even and white.
Looking to sell this locally, as I no longer have the original shipping box. I’m happy to drive up to a couple of hours or less from just North of Orlando (Zip 32712) to meet for a handoff. I
could pack and ship with a heavy duty UPS box of the needed size (24x24x24) for a non local sale, but that would be pretty pricey. I’d estimate the packed weight of this to be close to 70 pounds.
