Drivers cost the same as your build I imagine (less maybe, built these 3 years ago).

Wasn't trying to derail the Troels thread...

Actually the Troels speakers are built and owned by Larry M., I was visiting. Doesn't seem like a derail to me, it's handy to see options and ideas in one thread.

Now we need a review of the Joseph Crowe speaker. I haven't seen them before. Did you listen without a sub? And what are your subs?

I made one with the Bliesma T34B tweeter.  I used the passive radiators because Troel's design is underreported and will limit the maximum SPL at lower frequencies.  I don't know why this site always posts the pictures sideways.

It's possible to build a 14 liter cabinet with the 6.5" Purifi woofer and use a 2"x8" flared port.  If you stuff it properly (which takes a lot of experimentation) you can tame the port resonances enough to make it work pretty well.
This graph shows 2 port measurements.  One is with stuffing and one is without and it shows a good amount of port resonance suppression.

Picture orientation is determined by camera orientation. The orientation is recorded in the photo as a hidden EXIF file, which the AudioCircle server reads. For some reason your EXIF data was especially sticky (read only?) so rotating in Windows or in the AudioCircle Gallery didn't work. IrfanView is a free viewer that will re-set the EXIF data. I can understand why some members post photos that can not be rotated by normal methods, especially if only using a phone.

Thanks for the explanation and link. 99% of the time I'm on the go for work and play and rarely get to use my PC. Would be great if they could fix it in the software here.

No real reason to listen to the Crowe speakers alone, F3 is about 70hz.

Here's a link to his original discussion of the build. He originally designed it for different SB acoustic drivers and modified it slightly for me to work with these drivers. Measurements are essentially the same. The horn loading makes for excellent controlled directivity as shown.  My room where these are located is problematic with one speaker near a glass door.
