I run a MC462 and a C2800 tube preamp.
Mainly I stream Auralic Aries g2.1

Looking to upgrade to CWiv's Are they worth the price. So many mixed opinions....

You've asked a question only you can answer. If I were speaker shopping at that price point, they'd certainly be on my short list. Very easy to drive with virtually any amplifier and will play any genre you care to listen to. You will need at least an average size room though. My best advice is to buy from a dealer who offers a return option if they didn't work out. The best audition you can do is in your own room and system.

What speakers do you currently use and room size?
With speakers like Cornwall IV with "different" philosophy than many, one must audition them before buying.

One strategy is to wait a little more for imminent sale (already on sale somewhere?) of the new generation of La Scala AL6.  Of note, new generation Klipschhorn AK6 already went on sale.  Then i would look for used La Scala previous generations (AL5, AL4) which will decrease in price.  AL4 may likely drop to near (new) Cornwall IV prices, and IMO the La Scala line is where the Klipsch magic happens  :thumb:
