Selling my Focal Sub Utopia Be subwoofer which originally cost $7,000 for $1,400. It was produced to add bass to Focal’s expensive loudspeakers. It comes with a SubDude isolation mat.
I’m selling it because I purchased two SVT subwoofers for my home theater system which I can also use for my stereo system. It comes with a SubDude isolation mat. I haven’t used it in the past few years because my Spatial Acoustics X-5 speakers have built in subwoofers.
Its 16" Power Flower woofer is sourced from the mighty Grande Utopia Be, propelled by an enormous 1,000W RMS amplifier capable of delivering 125dB SPL. The crossover is very versatile and fully balanced (RCA connectors are present as well). You can output your preamp to this unit then output to your amps so that both units get the same signal. See page 4 of the manual.
The Sub Utopia Be will hit 16Hz with ease but has a modest footprint at 19.7"H x 20.9" W x 23.2"D. It weighs in at 121lbs.
Local pick-up only in Palm Springs. You will need a sturdy two-wheeler to move it. I am on the second floor and there are 15 exterior stairs. I can help move it.
