One more definite thing to note.  I contacted Chris with an internet radio station that I thought everyone would really like to have that sounds fantastic in FLAC.    Most services only offer it in MP3 format which pales in comparison to the better bit rate version. It was not available on the typical B radio, but In a matter of days Chris researched it's URL and it was added--you should be able to check it out for yourself under the favorites section in the media player (pureclassix).   Truly a fantastic all-encompassing playlist from this Dutch webstation.  I don't think there's many companies that would add something like that so fast if it wasn't already embedded in their system...

Hey all...its the OP for the above thread.   Anyone notice the new "Mother Earth" radio entry in the radio favs?   That's me again along with Chris' relentless work to add the listener's station requests, as most cannot be directly URL entered.  Thanks good sir!  This is a very eclectic online station out of Germany---you'll hear some obscure euro band right next to Zep's Kashmir and something off Pink Floyd's Animals as I listen tonight (see playlist image).  The best part by far though is the SQ it provides--24bit/192khz FLAC--played directly from vinyl!   You'll find its level is a bit lower than the others, but turn it up and you'll instantly hear the superior quality.  I don't I've heard better "online station" sound than the Radiohead song which is just as good as Qobuz streaming audio.  For those who thought the regular FLAC PureClassix station was a bit tinny sounding--believe me this is far from it :)  Enjoy!

On the Bryston side...still enjoying the BDP3 quite a bit and showing my WIIM-loving friends what a QUALITY streamer sounds like.  But now wondering if i should get the combo unit to get both a streamer and DAC in the same package (saving rack space)...thinking it over as there's some compromises with the Pi design vs Pc board of the BDP.  But i dont really use any take advantage of the benefits of the standalone unit.  I think i would miss the helpful front screen as well.  Anyway, my Oppo 205 can send DSD out and the Bryston devices can input it via their HDMI and I'm sure it's more refined DACs than the Oppo.

I cannot see the link to Mother Earth on my bdp-1. I can see pureclassix and RP. My firmware is up to date. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Perhaps I’m missing something. I can see pureclassix and purelounge but I cannot see Mother Earth.

Interesting!  I haven't looked there in a long time and didn't think it was something Bryston was actively managing.  Naim also provides a site where the user can add custom URLs to their streamer.  Got some good FLAC streams in my Naim list.  Would be nice to have them added to the Bryston list too.

B Radio2 WAV   Canada   Rock/Pop   FLAC

Naim Jazz WAV   UK   Jazz   FLAC

Naim Radio WAV   UK   Rock/Pop   FLAC

Naim Classical WAV   UK   Classical   FLAC

Radio Paradise Main   USA   Rock/Pop   FLAC

Radio Paradise Eclectic   USA   World   FLAC

Radio Paradise Mellow   USA   Pop   FLAC

Radio Paradise Rock   USA   Rock   FLAC

Czech Radio Jazz WAV   Czech   Jazz   FLAC

Radio Bluesflac WAV   Spain   Blues   FLAC

SuperStereo 6 HiRes   Chile   Instrumental   FLAC

With a bit of work I can dig up the URLs if neccessary.
