IT'S BEEN SOLD!I am selling my Mini GaN 5 solid state Class D amp. This is one of the lowest cost, high performing GaN offerings on the market. Although I haven’t heard other more expensive alternatives (AGD, Atmasphere, Voyager GAN 350), this little amp sounds great, especially with tube preamp in front of it.
I got excellent results running Mini GaN paired with Schiit Freya+ with balanced connections. BTW, I am also selling the Freya+
Over the years I have owned and/or auditioned many Class D amps in my system: Nuforce, Channel Islands D200, NCore NC252MP, Bel Canto, and Wyred 4 Sound. The Channel Islands were my long-term reference until picking up the Mini GaN 5. Now I’m going back to a low-powered all tube design.
