Well, I'm here because I'm excited to find an audio company that shares my philosophy that less is sometimes more. I've been an audiophile since the mid to late seventies and in those earlier days spent a lot of time in my local Audio salon, looking at equipment, shooting the breeze, and occasionally buying a less expensive item or two. I'm retired now and rekindling my interest in Audio that faded as it's a good second hobby along with photography.
I'm fairly old now and am frankly amazed that I had no knowledge of Van Alstine products until relatively recently due to the Audiophiliac. I presently have a Musical Fidelity m3si integrated amp which is beautiful but will be replaced shortly by the Vision SET 120 control amp. Somehow when I bought the M3SI a couple of years ago I failed to notice that there was no headphone jack, or didn't care and have changed my mind. There's a limit to how much space I have for add-ons. The only add-on after this will be a phono preamp. So that's my story, and I expect to be posting from time to time in the future.
