SOLD! Spatial Audio X-5 speakers with Bybee speaker bullets and Gaia feet. This is my 3rd pair of Spatial Audio speakers and obviously I like them. The top 2 drivers have Bybee speaker bullets soldered in place. The sub has a Bybee Quantum Clarifier held on by a magnet. I trusted a few reviewers on the Bybee and I have never removed them to compare with and without. These speakers sound great and are in excellent shape. The only reason for the sale is I traded an amp for a pair of Sound-Lab A-3 speakers. They are almost 40 years old and I figured I was just getting a novelty, but I love these Sound-Labs and am changing almost my entire system to accommodate them. (FYI, a new version of the Sound-Labs is just under $25K.) The Spatials are 96 dB efficient and need very little power, although 40 watts or so doesn't hurt. The sub works surprisingly well. They are wrapped in matte black, but this can be removed for the original finish (or so I was told – no guarantee). These Spatials sounded best when paired with a Don Sachs Kootenay tube amp which is also for sale. I now need a more powerful amp than the 65 watts the Kootenay provides. Speakers will be shipped in factory boxes. These cost me $7K, the Bybee thingies are currently $1200 at Parts Connexion and the Gaia feet were $300, so I have $8500 invested. They are for sale for $4500 plus shipping, payment by PayPay friends and family or +3% or a check with time for it to clear.
