I'm sure Carl will be too busy to remember to do this, but we need to know how much beer/food.
I'm going to be there with the EE Minimax phono, and some good vinyl.

Carl's home phone number if you need directions is 919-957-8795.

I will bring my PS audio stuff (UO and cables) in case someone would like to get them. I 'll bring some beer.

BBQ or Chinese?

Thanks, Claud... I've indeed been swamped but I'm getting my bearings.. It looks like we'll have a new face at the meeting, 'Lensman'.  I just sent him directions.

I'm only asking that people bring beer or whatever if they want if it's other than water, soda, scotch, or wine.  I have those. :)  I'm thinking of ordering a bunch of Chinese appetizers from the place down the street... Something different than the usual pizza/burgers.. But, I'm open to suggestions.  I can also do BBQ.

If anyone has any preference, PM me or reply here.  I like having a little food around.. and there will probably be a good bit of social aspects to this meeting since there's only room for 3 at a time in the room.

I've got everything in the original list to compare.  The speakers and amps are breaking in/warming up as I type... ;)

Looks like this will be a fun meeting!

Thanks,
Carl

I'll be there...

Carl's already got the stock X-718s.  I'll be bringing the Bel Canto Player for comparison with Carl's PC....

I don't have any good beer to bring, but will bring munchies of any kind that people suggest to contribute...

We definitely need to have the next meet at my place...  the new Usher Dancer series speakers showed up here yesterday...  These things are INSANELY GOOD!!  I can't believe how much they've improved with break-in....  Everyone has to hear these things....  By far the best sounding speakers I've had in the shop to date.  I can't wait for the VR-4SRs to show up now to compare the two pairs head to head.

Parking

Just a quick FYI about parking... I think we have about 5 or 6 people coming at the same time... Feel free to use the driveway across the street.. no one lives there at the moment.  I'd rather people park there than on the street.

Also, another FYI.. since no one is 'against' Chinese food, that's what I'll be ordering for lunch.  Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Had a good time getting to know all the circle members who showed up at Carl's house on Sunday.  Great opportunity to see and hear some different euipment, including the luxurious DK Design amp!
I might need to have foam boy (Bruno) advise me further on foam treatments, but that's for another day.
