Sold locally, $800 cash!

I've been quite happy these past 8 years with these Salk SongTowers but it's time for a change. I have a pair of Philharmonic Audio BMR Tower speakers in Rosewood in the house, so the ST's have been replaced. They are a bit battle-worn but still sound as good as the first day I got them, and they do still look great. New today these would cost you $3k, plus shipping! Yeah, inflation etc. These sold for $1995 (plus the custom veneer, another $200 IIRC) plus shipping when new.

These speakers have gotten many awards and reviews with tons of praise over the years, as many of you already know. Check out the list of awards on the Salk website. Quite impressive. These are speced to 38hz, but I've measure useful bass to 30hz, down about 4-5db. Not bad for a pair of 5.5" woofers playing inside a transmission line cabinet. You won't need a subwoofer! I've never felt the need.

There are some nicks on the edges of both towers as seen in the pics. Using a flash the nicks really show up brightly, but the sunburst finish does not!?! Not easy to see with the naked eye, but shows up great with a flash, as does dust, etc. The edge nicks can be treated with a black sharpie to make them vanish, I could do it myself, but I want the next owner to know what they are getting. The grills are in great shape, a bit of dust here and there, but no rips or tears, and no funny smells, non-smoking home, no pets or small kids.

$1100  shipped to CONUS addresses only. I've shipped other large tower speakers, no problems. Pickup at my location is much preferred. I could be talked into a halfway meetup if it isn't a two day drive! Cash or USPS Money Order preferred, PP is ok - add 3%.

I'm 120 miles from Spokane, 90 miles from the Tri-Cities, and 175 from the Seattle/Tacoma/Everett area, willing to meet half way.

I have no idea. I bought these used in 2014. At that time IIRC they were 3-4 years old.

Hi,

If its a dome tweeter it is the Hiquphon OW2 which is a damn fine tweeter. A great buy at the OP's asking price.

Cheers Rod

Yes indeed. My first pair of “audiophile” quality speakers was some Songtowers in Bamboo with the Hiquphon tweeter and I regret selling them.

Good luck with the sale and I agree that’s a great price for some well built speakers.

I should have been more specific with my first response to your question, it's either the Hiquphon OW1 or the OW2.
