I Need Some Schooling on LEDs
« on: 4 Nov 2022, 01:15 am »
I have an electric bass amp with a Limiter pot on the front. Beside the pot is a green LED that lights up when the Limiter circuit is, well...limiting. This LED was burned out when I got the amp and I replaced it with a standard 3mm diffused green that I have a whole bag of. And now I'm blinded (not really). If I want a dull green LED, that just glows but doesn't call too much attention to itself, what kind of mcd rating should I get? I have no idea what the rating of the LED I put in it is, it was just a bag o' LEDs I picked up somewhere.

Thanks all!

Start seen what is the circuit tension that drive the led.
