You're right, lots of new stuff in audio: subscription streaming of millions of albums in CD quality or thousands of CD quality internet radio "stations" is probably the biggest news; active monitors (like used in the recording/mixing studios) with room correction DSP that replaces big bulky loudspeakers with better sound; and Digital Analog Converters (DAC) that can be built into streamers or active monitors, or free standing.
