I wonder what's next, meters on the amps???
Don’t I wish. When I bought my first power amp in the 80s I narrowed my choice down the the 4B and this Yamaha. Went with the 4B, and had no regrets, but sure did like the meters on the Yamaha. Those volume controls on the other hand , ugh. I was never a fan of meters or big displays, that's why I could never get into Classe or Macintosh, lol.The only meters I had to like or tolerate, were on my cassette player, back in day. What I love about my BCD-3, it is built like a tank, with very simple display. That new BCD-4 looks like, it may be SACD, or something like that???Anyway, changes are good sometimes, but I'm happy I got my Bryston gear last year and I'm very happy with the sound and design.
It's either an Esoteric K-01XD or a K-03XD. The 01 weight 68lbs, the 03 weighs 61lbs. Also built like tanks. If you compare the pictures, you are right. It looks like K-03XD-61lbs.Mystery solved???
I'll be fucking honest, it looks like adopted gay brother, that BCD-3 is too fond of..Seriously, it doesn't fit in with the rest of Bryston family, it almost look like Moon cd player.I wonder what's next, meters on the amps???
I hate to admit it but I agree with you. I also hate meters, too. Honestly, other than disco effects, what else are they good for?
