This is my DIY ultrasonic record cleaning machine. It is based off of a Vibrato LLC ultrasonic unit using four 60 kHz transducers attached to a 6L stainless steel pan.
The unit has a built in timer as well as a tank heater. The rotation mechanism makes one full rotation every 10 minutes so your LPs are bathed in ultrasonic cavitating bubbles.
The spindle can accept up to 3 LPs at a time though I preferred to only do 2 at a time.
I used this machine with a VPI HW-16.5 for years. I recently purchased a Degritter. The Degritter is NOT BETTER than my previous setup. It is merely easier and less time consuming to use.
