Asking $375 for Siemens E188CC / 7308 BOTH coded G∮1≠5C. Grey Plate NOS Test - These are 1965 nicely matched in date codes and test data at NOS specifications. Siemens made the 'grey plate' version for E188CC/7308 only for a couple of years - in 1964-1965 and they are designated as follows--we decode the etched codes in the glass below:

G (rather than A for E88CC) means E188CC/7308 premium long-life, low-noise, matched version
Phi-1 means highest quality first version --the later version would be G2,G3,...no Phi symbol!
≠ is the authentic Siemens manufactures code
5 means made in 1965 - this prized version was made only in mid-'64-mid-'66--quite, quite rare
D = April 4th month - Both tubes have the exact came code made in the same batch--Wow.

The structural characteristics are as follows:
--Two-Stage getter (NOT A-Frame, which sounds considerably more restricted and harsh)
--Grey-coated, anti-EMF/static riser (small plate in middle) and grey side supports---the silver version do not have the same holography and a bit shrill in the highs
--Stay away from the version with only a post getter--they sound screechy and thin in mids by comparison to those here.

The data are nicely matched at NOS levels on my TV-10D/U military tester to within 10% across all triodes and spot-on-match within a tube!!. NOS Spec is 12,500. Minimum is 7,500
Tube 1 (Gm): 12,500 and 12,500
Tube 2 (Gm) = 13,500 and 13,500

Asking $375. Ad is over on Audiomart with pictures. No noise and non- microphonic. The labels are partially rubbed off from 'box rash', but have crystal-clear bottoms and the gold pins show only signs of being used in my tester and briefly amp (I have several pairs). I cannot say for certain they are truly New Old Stock (NOS), but they test and look like that or very, very close--except for the faded labels.

This Siemens 7308 Premium version of the venerable 6DJ8 type has the widest and deepest holographic soundstage among 6DJ8/E88CC/E188CC I have owned, excluding the earliest Holland Pinched Waist (which would be double in price--or more), and have excellent bass and a smooth and rich midrange. The upper frequency range is ultra-smooth with outstanding detail. Wonnerful for classical (only surpassed by TFKN old E188CC, which I have also possibly for sale) and simply divine for jazz, including female and male vocal--esp female.  Can sound stunning with certain rock vocal genres, esp if there are horns and cymbals in the mix.

Here is another link--in addition to the one above in ad header--showing price on-line and a description of the sonics, which I assure is accurate. The sonics of these are simply unique and wonderful. https://www.nosvacuumtubes.net/product/siemens-e188cc-7308/

If you find a similar pair, with these data, from a US vendor at lower price, please let me know. PayPal fee on me--shipping USPS Priority Insured on you. Thanks.

PS - Apology for poor pics - my phone can do no better at close range--but trust they are exactly as described in the ad. I also have other ultra-rare E88CC/E188CC. PM me if you want better pictures--but there will be no surprises or disappointments. Denkeschein.
