I noticed Bryston no longer shows up on the Music Direct webpage.  Are they no longer an authorized online dealer?

For online sales, Audio Advisor is a good retailer and has occasional B stock models for sale.  Audio Advisor has been an authorized dealer of Bryston products for many years.

I hadn't ever noticed Bryston gear at MD, but haven't been in the market for some time.   I have bought a lot of gear from both retailers.  I actually like MD better, but both are reliable sellers.

What are you looking for?

Hi Vonnie,

I looked at authorized online retailers and it showed Moon Audio, Audio Advisor, and Music Direct.  MD showed Bryston product on their site until recently.  One policy I like from MD (similar to Crutchfield) is the 60 Day Satisfaction Guarantee to make sure a component is a good match for your system.

I am looking at the BR-20.

Thanks,
Greg

I don’t know what Music Direct is showing on their site now, but for a long time it seemed like everything they listed was “out of stock.” Audio Advisor seems to have a lot of Bryston gear, except the BDPs. I’ve been waiting for a new BDP-3 in silver, 17” since February.

On Music Direct's website under BRANDS carried, Bryston still shows as a brand they carry.  Might give them a call and see if they can order you one, and still offer the 60 day review period.  Moon Audio has a restocking fee, and Audio Advisor offers only 30 days with return shipping on you.  I've bought from Moon audio a couple of times and had to return an item on one occasion and in order to avoid the restocking fee I accepted store credit.  It was a small purchase, so that wasn't a big deal, but a 10 percent restocking hit on a $7K preamp would make them a no-go for me.

That said, it's a Bryston.  I doubt you'll want to return it.

Thanks for the insight for the various retailers and their policies.  If I get to the point of trying something, my hope is it will work out long term and returns are not a consideration.
