Wondering if anyone has had any success with tackling better back to front separation on the Oticas? What strategy/gear worked? Many thanks!

How about a photo of your setup taken from the listening position? Would be helpful for any meaningful discussion.

Are you talking about soundstage depth?

Speakers well out from the front wall and diffusers behind the speakers worked great for me. Very deep sound stage with fairly precise imaging and lots of space between vocalists/instruments.

Does anyone have suggestions of reference tracks for good soundstage depth?  I mostly listen to multi-track music, which doesn't really seem to be mixed with depth in mind.

The Audiophiles Guide companion disc from Octave / PS Audio is really useful for this sort of thing.

+1. The book tells you which tracks to play, what to listen for in each track, and what to do if you hear something different. It's a good step-by-step guide for setting up and dialing in speakers.
