If you’re looking at this ad you’ve most likely already read all the stellar reviews on this little beast.
Mine is in pretty much perfect condition. Used very sparingly for only a few months. Decided to stick with a much pricier tube based DAC as it just had better synergy with my system. It was a rough call though, as the Ares really does do sound staging, dynamics, and inner detail amazingly well for its price.
I also played with the copper washer tuning tweak (see back panel). I found that it did have a positive effect on SQ, but if you’d rather not have it I can easily remove the washer prior to shipping. No internal tweaks done or anything else.
And unfortunately I no longer have the original box, but still have factory foam and factory power cord. My dear wife accidentally chucked the box. I will double box it very securely- rest assured.
