Binding Post Solder Repair

I broke the solder on one of my binding posts on the RM40 and need to repair it.

Anyone else have a similar issue? Any suggestions?
The solder that was originally used seems like its really high temp and my solder gun does not seem to want to melt it. Also its really tight in there and difficult to two hands in there.

I figured out a fix, I just added a short jumper from the binding post nut to a lower spot where I could access with my soldering gun.
All good now.

Binding post are huge heat sinks. I start by removing the outer nut so it doesn't soak up heat. Then using a higher wattage iron, flow solder on so heat is conducted to post and then give it enough time for post to heat to point for solder to flow.
I prefer removing the binding posts altogether and using the Electra Cable Tube Connectors sold by GR Research.

It removes a large hunk of brass between the copper wires, providing a straight shot of copper. I discussed and show the connectors here:
