Hi Gang,

I just purchased a used unit and it came with no manual so I am here asking if anyone has one and can make me a copy or scan it and email it to me.  My unit is not the Signature nor the DJH.  It is self bias and has two toggle switches on the top plate each on located in front of the outside of the main tubes.  The original owner does not know what they do (WTF?).  I would assume that one switches the plate voltage for the output tubes and one is for Triode/UL Mode.  Unfortunately there are no markings on the amp, so I am here asking if any one can tell me what and which switches do what?

Have you called Cary Audio?

It appears that since the location of each toggle switch is near each channel’s output tube, that the the “toggle” switches between triode and ultra linear. The amp seems to have its own standby black rocker switch on the front panel (right side) and ON/OFF rocker switch (left side).

Again, these are all guesses, so please post a few pics.

The OP's amp is not an MK2, FullRangeMan. You provided the wrong manual download.
But, as others have said, talk to Cary Audio. I'm sure they can help you. AES was a Cary spin-off brand.

Jake dont mentioned the version.
Some these amps were sold as kit.
Mk1 use 12AX7, Mk2 use 6SN7.
The regular Cary assembled Mk1 and Mk2 dont have any switch on the top neither.

I think one toggle switch is for triode/UL and the other a plate voltage switch for using KT88, KT77, KT66, 6V6 but I could be wrong.  I'll try Cary as my searches have not turned up any contact info for AES or Dennis Had.

You may open the bottom plate and read where these switches go.

Dennis Had sells 'Inspire' brand SET amps on eBay.
His handle is 'radioman731'.
So I suppose that's one way to get hold of him.

Yeah I figured if all else fails I can pop the bottom and check with a DMM.
