Let's Talk Crossover Parts

So I watched the video Danny did about crossover parts from a few months ago and thought maybe we could take it a step further.   I do see now that after a certain point on a crossover, the dollar per quality increase significantly drops.  For instance he mentioned the parts quality kind of in this order from poorest to best:

Inductors
Standard Coils
Air Core
Copper Foil

Resistors
Sand Cast
Mills
Path Auio

Caps
Electrolytic
Poly
Film (varying degrees of quality here)

I've done upgrades via GR and Danny and typical recommendations are air core inductors, mills resistors, Sonicaps with Copper Foil bypass.  I personally have skipped the air core and mills and went straight to copper foil and Path Audio.

What would be the upgrade to Sonicaps along these lines?

I realize there are widely varying degrees of film cap quality and that basically after Sonicaps I'd be chasing tiny improvements but for much more money.  I'm looking for the next step or two steps up in quality but not exponentially higher prices.

Is there such a thing?

Let's talk quality XO parts!

Jantzens are my go-to caps for a good price-quality ratio for anything above 1uF. At 1uF or below and I go with Miflex.

I've heard several people recommend the VCap ODAM if there is a suitable option for the size you need. I have not heard them for myself, but it seems like that is a popular one instead of coffee can sized copper foil caps. Not sure if they're bypassing with Deudland copper or silver bypass caps though. Probably dealers choice at that point, depending on what you're looking for in sound timbre vs ultra resolution. One day I'll give them a try for my NX-Studios just for fun. Right now I have one of the GR Copper Caps with a deudland copper bypass on my tweeter circuit and a sonicap with miflex bypass on my woofer circuit. They are smoooooth but I can't help but wonder if there's some extra resolution with all that green grass on the other side.

I like Miflex for copper foil cost no object performance, and I like the Vcap ODAM's for a small step down and a lot less $$.  Although, IMO the ODAMs don't sound great by themselves, you really need a good copper foil or silver foil bypass caps to get them to sound optimal.

I agree about the resistors, the Path Audio copper resistors are the best & easily worth the $$.

For inductors my favorite is the foil/paper/wax from Jantzen, not even very expensive but excellent performance.
